They're comprised of one of the most passionate and energetic drummers I've ever seen and Davis is a talented composer and singer to say the least. After seeing Davis play a number of solo shows, I can attest to the fact that the slight distortion used on his voice is not to mask any weakness but instead is a deliberate affect used by Davis to suit the songs.

A highly anticipated return happened this Saturday night at the Woodward Theater. Bad Veins has been a favorite in the local music scene for years. While the Nation had their eyes on the Queen City this Tuesday and tens of thousands watched a game of all-stars at Great American Ballpark, A local music advocate and friend of CincyMusic. Since then, local bands such as Bad Veins, Guided by Voices, The National and many others have graced its lineup card.

One of the bands carrying on that tradition this year is Heartless Each week we will highlight a few of our picks for the weekend.
