TSC: There is an unmistakable rebelliousness about your work, particularly in regard to your choice of materials.

What drives you to reject certain societal conventions? Is it important to challenge the status quo? Was it an easy or difficult transition? Knowing what you know now, if you could go back in time and give yourself some advice, what would it be?
